4×6 Wood retaining walls are seen on many properties in Calgary as they are a cost effective way to support an area of land from falling to a lower elevation. These types of walls are just as strong as stone or concrete and have a life expectancy of 35 years if built correctly. 4×6 wood retaining walls also provide a more rustic feel to a property and are maintenance free.
